Vi vet att krigets första offer är sanningen. Vi vet att propaganda-dimman ligger tjock just nu och att en klarare bild eller någon slags sanning kan komma först i efterhand. Vad vi också vet, är att i krig så är det civila som drabbas värst och därtill kvinnor och barn. Vi vet att krig är av ondo och skapar lidande. Man behöver inte vara pacifist för att vilja få stopp på onödigt dödande. Jag (vi) är emot alla krig. Att vara emot krig betyder dock att man måste, via freds- och konfliktforskning, empiriskt redogöra för varför vi är det. I syfte att förebygga krig och att bygga fred.
